Aromatherapy Benefits
Some of the essential oils used for aromatherapy have been found to have health benefits. Often a combination of oils may be used to treat certain conditions.
Commonly they are used to provide a relaxing atmosphere and stress reduction has been shown to help all health conditions. So using an aromatherapy candle or a room freshener with essential oils in could help if you find that using them does help you to feel more relaxed.
There may, of course be more effective ways to relax but even a small benefit is better than none.

There is a lot of scepticism about these alternative therapies and therefore many people feel that they have no benefits at all. The best way to find out is to look at the research that has been done as there has been research carried out showing that there are health benefits to using certain essential oils.
It is worth discussing the benefits with both your doctor and an aromatherapy practitioner before deciding whether you think it would be a beneficial treatment for you. By trying them out for yourself you will know whether they are beneficial to you or not.
